How do you handle my personal data?
Blue Flamingo is very careful with your privacy. The personal data you enter are and remain yours. We do not pass on your data to any third party.
Privacy and cookies at Blue Flamingo
This privacy and cookie statement was last amended on December 15, 2022.
Blue Flamingo proposed personalized designs for invitation cards, birthday cards, and posters. Via our website you can list your kid’s favorite things and we come up with a personalized design that captures what your little one is all about these days. With every order received, we process personal data. Your privacy is of great importance to Blue Flamingo. We therefore comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Our privacy and cookie statement in short
When processing personal data, we comply with privacy legislation. This means that we:
- Clearly record our purposes before we process your personal data, via this privacy and cookie statement.
- Store as little personal data as possible and only the data that is necessary for our purposes.

For what purposes do we use your data?
By using our webshop, we obtain various data from you. For each purpose, it is indicated which data we obtain from you, for what purpose we process this data and how long it is kept. Contact
When you send an e-mail message or a completed contact form, approach us by telephone, or contact us in any other way, you accept our offer to contact us (execution of the agreement).
For this we process the following personal data:
- Name
- E-mail address
- Telephone number (only for telephone contact)
- Any information that you enter yourself as the content of a message
We keep your data for as long as necessary for this contact, because we want to be sure that we have handled your question or complaint properly.
Place and process order
If you place an order on our website, you leave certain information. We need the data because of the purchase agreement that is concluded between you and Blue Flamingo (execution of the agreement).
For this we process the following personal data:
- Name
- E-mail address
- Phone number
- Payment details
- Any texts and favorite things listed for the card design
The texts and lists that you have specified for your card are and remain yours. We never use the personalized design that is created from your inputs for marketing purposes without your permission. Only Blue Flamingo employees who need it for the performance of their job have access to your cards (for example, a customer satisfaction employee who helps you).
The individual elements in the design (the “things” your kids loves) are reused across several designs. This happens when several kids specify the same items as their favorite things. Rest assured it would be extremely unlikely to end up with the exact same design between two kids (same list of things, same name, same colors, …). Your design is unique.
When can we share your data with third parties?
Blue Flamingo will only share your data with third parties if this is permitted under current legislation. We may provide your personal data to third parties because:
- we have engaged them to process certain data;
- that is necessary to perform the agreement with you;
- you give permission for this;
- we have a legitimate interest in this;
- we are legally obliged to do so (for example, if the police require this if a crime is suspected).
The parties that process personal data on our behalf or on your behalf are:
- Mail order companies
- Payment Service Providers
- Cookie service providers
- IT suppliers and service providers
In order to provide this service, Blue Flamingo may provide your personal data to parties located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Blue Flamingo only does this if there is an appropriate level of protection for the processing of personal data. This means, for example, that we use a model agreement from the European Commission or make agreements about the handling of personal data. Or that the party to whom we provide the personal data is Privacy Shield certified.
Cookies
On our websites we use cookies from ourselves and from third parties. Cookies are information files that can be automatically stored on or read from the visitor’s device (such as PC, tablet or smartphone) when visiting a website. This is done via the web browser on the device.

Blue Flamingo takes appropriate technical and organizational measures with regard to the processing of personal data to be carried out, against loss or against any form of unlawful processing (such as unauthorized access, damage, alteration or provision of the personal data).
Your right to be forgotten
At Blue Flamingo you can easily delete your personal data (for example, created cards, text, addresses, etc.). You do this by contacting us via the contact page. We will then delete your personal information, including history and any credits. Scheduled orders that haven’t been shipped yet will also be deleted by closing the account and will therefore not be shipped by us.

Purpose: Google Tag Manager cookies make it possible to load scripts from other cookies. Google Tag Manager is purely functional and is not used to collect personal data.

Purpose: These cookies are placed to gain insight into visitor behavior and to improve the user experience based on this. We have set these cookies to be privacy-friendly. That means we:
